A rigid truck has its cab, engine and body on one chassis. It’s the workhorse of UK distribution, construction and local authority fleets, and we buy every type:

The body matters as much as the truck
Two identical chassis can be worth very different money depending on what’s fitted. A tail lift, a good fridge unit or a crane can add thousands, while a rotten body might only be worth its scrap. Tell us what’s on the back and include a couple of photos of it. We price the whole vehicle, not just the cab and chassis.
Any age, any condition
Older rigids are often the easiest to sell to us, because many go for export where simple, strong trucks are in demand. If yours is off the road, failed its test or has been replaced by a newer truck, we’ll still make you an offer.

What is the difference between a rigid and an artic?
A rigid has the cab and body on one chassis. An artic is a tractor unit pulling a separate trailer. See our guide to rigids and tractor units.
