Mixers we buy
- Eight-wheel truck mixers, the standard for ready-mix fleets
- Six-wheel mixers for smaller loads and tight sites
- Volumetric mixers (mix-on-site trucks)
- Mixers with conveyors or pump attachments
Pricing a mixer
A mixer’s drum and hydraulics are worked hard every day, so we look at:
- The drum: wear on the blades and shell, its capacity in cubic metres, and any concrete build-up inside
- Hydraulic drive: the pump, motor and gearbox that turn the drum
- Water system and chutes
- Chassis condition: concrete and washout water are tough on a chassis
Mixers that come off fleet contracts are often well maintained, and older ones are popular for export. Either way, we’ll make you a fair offer.

Questions sellers ask
Anything else? Call or WhatsApp us on 07402 295831.
Do you buy a mixer with concrete set in the drum?
Yes. Set concrete has to be broken out, and in bad cases the drum needs replacing, so it lowers the price. We still buy the truck. Tell us roughly how much is in there and send a photo inside the drum if you can.
Do you buy volumetric mixers?
Yes. Volumetric mixers carry sand, stone, cement and water separately and mix on site. Tell us the make of the body, its condition, and whether the conveyors, mixing auger and controls all work.
What drum sizes do you buy?
All of them. In the UK an eight-wheel mixer usually carries 8 cubic metres and a six-wheeler about 6, but we buy every size. Put the drum capacity on the form if you know it.
