How buying works, wherever you are

You don’t need to be near us to sell to us. Send the registration, a few details and some photos through the form, and our buying team will come back with an offer. Once we’ve inspected the truck and agreed the final price, you’re paid the same day and we arrange collection from wherever the truck is: a yard, a depot, a farm or a site.

Each region page below lists the towns we buy from and the trucks we see most there, from tippers in the quarry areas to tractor units around the ports.

Low emission zones and older trucks

London’s Low Emission Zone, and the Clean Air Zones in Bath, Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Newcastle and Gateshead, Portsmouth and Sheffield, charge lorries that don’t meet Euro VI. In Scotland, the Low Emission Zones in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee hand out penalty charges to them. That makes many older trucks expensive to run in those cities, but they’re still wanted elsewhere and abroad.

Do you buy trucks in the Republic of Ireland?

Do you buy trucks on the Scottish islands?

Yes. Collection needs a ferry crossing, so tell us where the truck is and we’ll plan it with you before we agree the price.

Do I need to bring the truck to you?

No. We arrange collection from wherever the truck is once the final price is agreed, whether it runs or not.
