Refuse trucks we buy
- Rear-end loaders on 18, 26 and 32 tonne chassis
- Narrow-access and 7.5 tonne refuse trucks for tight streets
- Split-body recycling vehicles and food waste trucks
- Front-end and side loaders for commercial waste
We buy all the common chassis and body makers, including Dennis Eagle, Mercedes-Benz Econic, Volvo, DAF and Scania, with Geesink, Faun or Dennis bodies.
What we look at
- Body and compaction gear: the packer, rams, ejector plate and tailgate seals
- Bin lift: type, condition and any lifting inspection records
- Hours and mileage: refuse trucks run long hours at low speed, so both matter
- Corrosion: leachate is hard on bodies and chassis
Fleet renewals
When a council or contractor renews its fleet, older refuse trucks often come up in batches. We can price several at once. See selling multiple trucks.

Questions sellers ask
Anything else? Call or WhatsApp us on 07402 295831.
Do you buy refuse trucks from councils?
Yes. We buy ex-council and ex-contractor refuse trucks, one at a time or in batches when a fleet is renewed. If they’re being sold through a disposal process, send us the details and we’ll tell you whether we can take part.
Do you buy refuse trucks that don’t run?
Yes. Non-runners are welcome, and so are trucks with a failed bin lift or a body fault. Tell us what’s wrong. See selling a non-runner.
Why do engine hours matter on a refuse truck?
Refuse trucks spend much of the day stopping, starting and running the compaction gear, so the engine can have high hours even when the mileage looks low. Tell us both figures if you can.
Does the body need emptying before collection?
Yes. Please empty the body and wash it down if you can. Waste and leachate left inside make the truck harder to inspect and move.
