What we look at
- Make, model and power: a 500hp flagship and a 420hp distribution unit sell to different buyers
- Mileage: big numbers are normal on units. A million kilometres won’t stop us buying
- Euro standard: Euro 6 units sell into UK work, while Euro 5 and older units often suit export
- Cab condition: interior, bunk, fridge and night heater
- Gearbox and driveline: automated gearboxes are now the norm, but manuals are still wanted abroad
- Service history and test: helpful, but not essential

Do you buy high-mileage tractor units?
Yes. Units cover big distances, so high mileage is expected. We price on condition, spec and demand rather than the number alone. See selling a high-mileage truck.
Do you buy Euro 5 units?

Is a tractor unit the same as an artic?
