Recovery trucks we buy
- 7.5 tonne slide beds and tilt-and-slide bodies
- Spectacle-lift trucks and twin-deck car transporters
- Heavy recovery units with underlifts, rotators and winches
- Older recovery trucks that have been replaced by newer equipment
Pricing recovery equipment
- Body maker and type: the bed, its controls and how far it slides
- Winch: capacity, cable condition and remote control
- Underlift and spectacle frame: wear and any hydraulic leaks
- Lighting and beacons, and equipment like skates and straps
- LOLER inspection history for the lifting equipment
Recovery trucks often cover high mileage in short bursts, so a well-maintained one with a full history can be worth more than you’d expect.

Questions sellers ask
Anything else? Call or WhatsApp us on 07402 295831.
Do you buy recovery trucks with the equipment included?
Yes, and it’s worth including. Skates, straps, wheel dollies, spec frames, ramps and beacons all add to the price, so list what comes with the truck and photograph it.
Do you buy heavy recovery units?
Yes. Heavy recovery units are specialist trucks with a smaller pool of buyers, so a full description matters. Send photos of the underlift, winches and controls, and tell us the lift and winch capacities.
Do you buy a recovery truck with a faulty bed or winch?
Yes. A leaking ram, a slipping winch or dead controls lower the price, but they’re common faults and usually fixable. Tell us what’s wrong and we’ll price the truck as it stands.
Is high mileage a problem on a recovery truck?
Not usually. Recovery trucks cover a lot of miles, and a high-mileage truck with a sound chassis and a working body is still very saleable. The condition of the bed and winch often matters more than the mileage.
