Selling a truck in London

London has the strictest rules in the country for running a lorry. The Low Emission Zone charges trucks that don’t meet Euro VI, and the Direct Vision Standard means HGVs over 12 tonnes need a safety permit, with extra equipment for trucks with poor vision from the cab. For many operators, an older truck simply isn’t worth running in the capital any more.

Will you buy a truck that doesn’t meet the LEZ standard?

Yes. Trucks that don’t meet Euro VI are exactly the ones London operators are selling, and many of them go for export.

Do you buy trucks without a DVS permit?

Yes. The Direct Vision Standard is about running in London, not selling. We buy trucks with or without a permit.
