Six-wheelers we buy
A 26 tonner gives you an extra eight tonnes of gross weight over an 18 tonner, with a third axle that can be fixed, steered or driven. We buy every layout:
- 6x2 rear-steer rigids for curtain, box and fridge work
- 6x4 double-drive six-wheelers for tipping and off-road sites
- Midlift six-wheelers where the lifting axle saves tyres and fuel
- Specialist six-wheelers: skip loaders, hook loaders, gully suckers and refuse trucks
Things that change the price
- Axle layout: double-drive trucks are wanted for site work, and rear-steer trucks for tight urban deliveries
- Steering axle health: rear-steer systems can be costly to repair, so tell us if there are warning lights
- Body and equipment: the body, tail lift, crane or tipping gear
- Emissions standard: Euro 6 for UK buyers, Euro 3 to 5 for export
Not sure what your truck is? Send the registration and a few photos. We’ll work it out.

Questions sellers ask
Anything else? Call or WhatsApp us on 07402 295831.
Why are 26 tonne lorries called six-wheelers?
Because they have three axles, so six wheel positions. An eight-wheeler has four axles. See HGV weights explained.
Do you buy rear-steer trucks with steering faults?
Yes. A rear-steer fault lowers the price, but we still buy the truck. Mention any warning lights on the form.
