Tippers we buy

Tippers work harder than almost anything else on the road, so we expect them to show it. Dents in the body, a weeping ram or a worn sheet won’t put us off. We buy:

  • Eight-wheelers (32 tonnes) from muck-away, aggregates and quarry work
  • Six-wheelers (26 tonnes), including rear-steer muck shifters
  • 18-tonne and 7.5-tonne tippers used by builders, landscapers and councils
  • Insulated tarmac tippers and alloy-bodied bulk tippers

What affects a tipper’s value

When we price a tipper we look past the paintwork at the parts that cost money to put right:

  • Body and floor: steel or alloy, floor wear, cracks around the tailgate and hinges
  • Tipping gear: the ram, hydraulic pump, PTO and any leaks
  • Chassis: corrosion, cracks and old repairs. Aggregates and road salt are hard on chassis rails
  • Driveline: axle layout, hub reduction or double drive, gearbox and mileage
  • Emissions: Euro 6 tippers sell back into UK work, while older Euro 3 to 5 trucks often go for export
  • Extras: automatic sheets, tow hitches, alloy wheels and camera systems

Old, tired or off the road

A tipper doesn’t need a fresh test or a straight body for us to buy it. Plenty of the tippers we buy are older trucks heading abroad, where buyers rate strong, simple eight-wheelers. If yours has failed its MOT, won’t start or has been parked up for months, say so on the form and we’ll price it as it stands.

Do you buy tippers with a damaged body?

Yes. Body damage, a cracked floor or a leaking ram lowers the price but won’t stop us buying. Show the damage in your photos so the offer reflects it from the start.

Will you buy a tipper with no MOT?

Yes. Tick No MOT on the form. We buy tippers that are out of test, have failed, or haven’t turned a wheel for a while.

Where do you collect from?
