Industry, ports and the A1
The North East is a manufacturing region, with Sunderland’s car plant and its supply chain, chemicals and steel on Teesside, and ports at Teesport, the Tyne and Blyth. The A1(M) and A19 carry trucks north and south, and the A66 links across to Cumbria. Quarries in County Durham and Northumberland keep tippers busy.
Newcastle’s Clean Air Zone charges older HGVs, which is speeding up fleet replacement for some operators. See selling a Euro 5 truck.

Questions sellers ask
Anything else? Call or WhatsApp us on 07402 295831.
Do you buy trucks on Teesside?
Yes. We buy across Teesside, including Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Redcar, from port and industrial hauliers as well as local builders and contractors.
Do you buy tankers?
Yes, including fuel and bulk tankers from Teesside’s process industries. The tank test and ADR dates affect the price, so include them. See selling a tanker.
Will you buy a truck that’s charged in Newcastle’s Clean Air Zone?
Yes. The Newcastle and Gateshead zone, which covers the city centre and the approaches to the Tyne bridges, charges HGVs that don’t meet Euro VI. Those trucks are still wanted outside the zone and abroad.
Do you buy trucks in rural Northumberland?
Yes. We buy from farms, quarries and hauliers right across Northumberland, from Blyth and Cramlington to Hexham, Alnwick and Berwick. Tell us where the truck is and how easy it is to reach.
